The reason I love the Andor soundtrack so much is that Nicholas Britell manages to capture the one thing that makes life worth living, the sole message of the show, the reasoning for all the characters — You know the ending, but despite all you keep watching, waiting, listening. You wait for a message, a warning, a something — and all you'll find is: hope. It's like a stain you can't erase on your retina, and then you look down and in your hands it's that very thing you've waited for, burning the edges of your hands, so hot, so willful, and all you can do is grip it tighter for whatever is to come.

The amount of money I would pay to watch a The Office style documentary with Andor characters is asinine. I need to see Dedra Meero look directly at the camera after saying "Want to know what's worse than a 7am meeting with Darth Vader? My mother in law." I need Andor but moreso. Give me a 12-episode season entirely about specifically the logistics and bureaucracy and intrigue around establishing the rebel base and military discipline on Yavin. I want a series whose writing room was clearly forced at gunpoint to become at least casually conversant in the literature on guerrilla warfare and base locations.
